  • How long will Wet & Forget Outdoor take to work?

      It depends on the intensity of the contamination. If it is really light you will see results within days. Otherwise, it may take 2-3 months to see improvement. Your concrete may turn reddish brown when Wet & Forget Outdoor is applied. This is normal and shows you have a good reaction. The discoloration will dissipate over a short period of time and is not permanent. The good news is when you use Wet & Forget Outdoor the following season the cleanup will occur within weeks. In the very worst case scenario, where contamination is extreme, it may take 6-12 months to work.

  • When is the best time to apply Wet & Forget?

      Apply Wet & Forget on a cool, dry, windless day, with no rain in the forecast for 4-5 hours. Often the evening or early morning is the best time to apply; when evaporation is minimal. This way, the treated surface stays wet with Wet & Forget for an extended period. Apply Wet & Forget at any temperature above 32 degrees and below 80 degrees.

  • Can Wet & Forget used to treat any outside surface?

      Absolutely, you can use Wet & Forget on any outside surface, including: Concrete Driveways and Walkways, Patios, Pool Surrounds, Asphalt Driveways, Fiberglass, Brick, Painted Textured Surfaces, Tombstones, Natural Stone, Ceramic Pots, Wood Decks, Composite Decks, AstroTurf, Tennis Courts, Canvas Awnings, Greenhouses, Boats, RV's, Gutters, Siding (Vinyl, Aluminum and Wood and Stucco) and Roofs (Asphalt and Fiberglass, Steel, Clay, Shake and Tile).

  • Should the dilution rate be changed for Wet & Forget?

      No, Wet & Forget works best when the dilution rate is 1 part Wet & Forget to 5 parts water.

  • Will Wet & Forget affect my pets?

      Not under normal circumstances. However, after application, keep pets off the surface until it is dry to ensure they don't ingest any of the Wet & Forget. If they accidentally walk in the treated area while wet, rinse your pet's paws with fresh water as a precaution. Wet & Forget is safe for pets if it rains after the dry time.

  • Will Wet & Forget damage my plants?

      Do not spray Wet & Forget directly onto plants. Protect landscaping from overspray by rinsing with water before and after application or covering them during application.

  • I applied Wet & Forget to a concrete surface & it turned an orange-brown color. Is this normal?

      Yes, this is a normal and temporary color change that occurs on some concrete surfaces right after application. The color change indicates a good reaction between the organic growth and Wet & Forget. The color will disappear over time.

  • What is the shelf life of Wet & Forget?

      Wet & Forget has an unlimited shelf life. It's bleach-free and non-acidic. Store Wet & Forget in the original bottle as a concentrate or as a dilution in your garden sprayer. The product will not deteriorate after being diluted nor damage your garden sprayer. Always keep the cap tightly fastened and the product out of the reach of children.

  • Will Wet & Forget remove the contamination from my deck?

      Most definitely! It will clean any decking, including composite decking. If your deck is older and black with contamination, wait a month after applying Wet & Forget and then give the area a light brush with a scrub brush and warm water. You will need to reapply Wet & Forget after this scrub but the good news is you should only have to do this once, and then the maintenance becomes easy.

  • Can I paint or stain over Wet & Forget?

      Once the surface has come clean, you can paint or stain right over Wet & Forget. It's ideal for extending the life of the surface as it not only removes moss, mold, mildew, and algae, but also the surfactant action helps remove dirt and other residues. Spraying your house annually with Wet & Forget will extend the life of your paint.

  • How soon after application can we start painting?

      Thoroughly saturate the surface with Wet & Forget on a cool, dry day. Late in the day is best. Leave the growth to start decomposing for 2-3 weeks (the longer, the better) before painting or staining, gently pressure wash the surface. Growth, dirt, and residue will come off faster and easier. The surface will also be sterile reducing possible contamination of the new paint with algae and fungi.

  • Can I use Wet & Forget on my pool surround?

      Wet & Forget is ideal to use around your pool. Any overspray will not affect the pH in your pool.

  • Should I sweep or wash the surface before applying Wet & Forget?

      Ideally, remove any excess debris. It's not necessary to clean the surface before application. Apply Wet & Forget to a dry surface.

  • Can I apply Wet & Forget with a hose end sprayer or a pressure washer?

      We recommend applying Wet & Forget with a pump-up garden sprayer, backpack sprayer or a low-pressure agricultural sprayer. For large surfaces or high elevations we recommend Wet & Forget Xtreme Reach™ Hose End. NOTE: Most standard hose end sprayers do not have the correct dilution rate for Wet & Forget. ONLY USE the ready to spray Wet & Forget Xtreme Reach™ Hose End. If you use a pressure washer, only use pressure washers that can pull from a separate container with the pre-mixed solution of 5:1 otherwise, we do not recommend pressure washers as you will not get the proper dilution or results.

  • Can you use Wet & Forget to clean the grout in exterior tiles?

      Yes! Wet & Forget will remove the moss, mold, mildew and algae stains.

  • Can I store Wet & Forget in a place where the temperature drops below 32 degrees?

      We do not recommend storing Wet & Forget in an area that could freeze or have temperatures below 32 degrees.

  • Will Wet & Forget harm the glass in my windows?

      No, Wet & Forget is a gentle product and will not etch the glass in windows. However, Wet & Forget may leave a residue on the glass. After the Wet & Forget has dried, you can wash the glass portion of the window with glass cleaner to remove any residue.

  • Can I use Wet & Forget for commercial applications?

      You sure can, Wet & Forget is used worldwide at some of the most recognized structures and theme parks.
